Educational Business Development Manager

This is a unique opportunity to drive business growth for three globally renowned education consultancy brands. Oxbridge Applications, A-List Education and The Career Portal are three successful consultancies forming part of the Beyond the Classroom (BTC) division of Dukes Education. 

Reporting to the Dukes Education Managing Director, the successful applicant will develop and execute sales strategies that increase the three consultancies’ presence across Schools globally. They will also develop partnerships with other key stakeholders in the arena, such as educational agencies and potential sponsorship partners.

The role’s main focus will be continuing to build the pipeline of school leads for the different services offered by BTC. You will work closely with the dedicated Sales lead at each brand to ensure a smooth transition from lead generation to sale conversion.

Your success will be measured by the number of new schools who become clients of BTC’s businesses and new revenue generated across schools, agents, consultants, potential new sponsors.

Processes, organized documentation and relationship management are at the heart of this role, and you will work with people in different roles and at all levels. You will need to be goal-oriented, have effective communication skills and excellent planning and organization skills.

Main Tasks

  • School relationship building: A key focus of the role will be reaching out to new schools to build a sales pipeline across all three businesses.
  • This will be both UK and international focused.
  • This will take place across all communication channels – in person, email, phone and video calls.
  • Working closely with the individual consultancies’ sales teams to introduce leads and convert inquiries leads.
  • Partnership relationship building: Some businesses already have a strong B2B Sponsorship revenue stream and you will be tasked with building the pipeline of new potential sponsors, educational agents and other key stakeholders who can provide business for the brands.

Required Skills

  • Professional experience of the independent school sector
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt communication skills to different audiences

  • Presentation skills to audiences (ideally with experience of presenting to students)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with sales & marketing automation tools and CRM systems
  • Knowledge of Google Drive, Sheets and Documents
  • At least 2+ years of previous experience with sales

Client Services Executive (Sales and Client Management) – £24k, fixed-term with monthly sales commission

Terms: This will be a 12-month contract with promotional opportunities to a permanent position after six months (there is also a possibility for part-time work)

Start date: As soon as possible, before August 2022

Summary of role:

As Client Services Executive at A-List Education UK, you will be assisting the Client Services team in negotiating, selling, and arranging our range of educational services. You will advise families on our advising and tuition packages, to enable the student to make competitive applications to US universities and other global pathways. This will be a great role if you are looking to build a range of commercial skills and are passionate about education. Whilst A-List is a boutique education consultancy, we are part of a large and growing schools group; this means that the dynamism and opportunity inherent in a small team is backed up by the support systems and development opportunities of a much larger organisation.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Confidence to communicate professionally with potential clients, active clients and our network of advisors/tutors (essential)
  • Organisation skills to balance a mixed workload and manage the sales and service-delivery process
  • Keen interest in and knowledge of the US education system and higher education landscape (essential)
  • Motivated, reliable, a team player with a “can do/hands on” attitude (essential)
  • University graduate and experience with US admissions and testing (preferred)

US University Admissions Advisor (full-time or part-time)

We’re looking for individuals to advise in-person on the US University application process with our secondary school students and private families. Scheduling is flexible, with materials provided for you. Expect paid training before you begin work. Rates range per hour depending on experience. No recruitment agencies please.

• Must have graduated from a top US university or completed the US university application process
• Must have good knowledge of the US university application process

We’re also looking for people to tutor our secondary school students for the UK and/or US curriculum. Scheduling is flexible, with materials and lesson plans provided for you. Expect 30+ hours of paid training before you begin work. Rates range from £35 to £80+ per hour, depending on experience.
